I have a limited budget, and need to make sure I get as many computers as I can for my money. Why should I consider the Fizzbook Spin, alongside other budget netbooks and laptops that are available on the high street / over the internet?

  • The Fizzbook is more than just a netbook.  It is a fully functioning traditional Windows based netbook computer, but it also offers the versatility of a pen & touch enabled tablet computer, accommodating modern students' learning styles & preferences
  • And because it is based on Microsoft Windows 7, it is compatible with most educationally relevant applications and resources (including Adobe Flash content)
  • The Fizzbook also contains a number of features that make it uniquely suited for use in the classroom, such as dual headphone sockets for sharing and a rotatable webcam for filming and collaborative work.
  • Finally it is built to withstand the day-day bumps and knocks that IT equipment in schools can be subject to, it has a splash-proof keyboard, and has even been drop-tested from typical primary school desk-height.  Many consumer-based products are not designed for that environment and modes of use.


Is SMART Classroom Suite Pre-installed?

  • Each Fizzbook purchased entitles the user to run SMART Classroom Suite student software
  • SMART Classroom Suite student and teacher installation files are provided, conveniently located on the C: drive for easy installation & network commissioning
  • The versions provided are full evaluation products, which will request a licence key to be entered within 30-days
  • Student Licence keys are available by emailing your Fizzbook serial numbers to Zoostorm customer services.
  • Teacher licences keys are sold separately (see below)


What about SMART Classroom Suite Teacher Licences?

  • You should order at least one single SMART Classroom suite teacher licence with every order of Fizzbooks to use the full range of tools available in Classroom Suite (for example SMART Sync and SMART Response CE)
  • This teacher licence can be installed and used on a third party computer/laptop (for example a teacher may use a traditional laptop computer their device, or have a dedicated desktop computer permanently connected to a SMART Interactive Whiteboard.


Do I have to have a SMART Board Interactive Whiteboard to use SMART Classroom Suite on my Fizzbooks?

  • Running SMART Classroom Suite on Fizzbooks connected to a SMART Interactive Whiteboard gives the best integrated teaching and learning experience, however...
  • If you wish to run the software on another interactive technology (e.g another brand of interactive whiteboard or interactive projector), a SMART Notebook collaborative licence is required.  Please ask your reseller for details.
  • For non- interactive technologies, you can run SMART Classroom Suite with no additional licence requirement.


I want to buy some new Fizzbooks, but I have some older Fizzbooks with a previous version of SMART Classroom Suite.  Can I upgrade them to SMART Classroom Suite 2011?

  • Yes, in fact you will need to upgrade your existing machines.  We have a very affordable upgrade licence available that allows you to upgrade all of your devices to be running the same version of SMART Classroom Suite.  Please contact your reseller for details.


Can I extend my use of Classroom Suite 2011 to my other computers ?

  • Yes, depending upon the number of Fizzbooks you originally purchased, the quantity of additional computers you wish to use it on and the number of additional teachers who would need to use the software, there are a number of possible extension paths. Please contact your reseller for details.
